Channa Salad
Heyy everyone,
So for those who don't know me on a super personal level, I recently finished a diet that I deem a complete success. I am happy to say I am 60 lbs. and 6 pant sizes smaller. (34!) It was a long road, but i learned a lot about myself and about my regular eating habits. Foremost, that carbs are a number one problem. So from now on, most of my recipes will be carb conscious because I'm carb conscious. Today I want to bring you something that you can kickstart your own delicious diet with. Channa is Hindi for chickpeas, and is mixed with chopped purple onion, tomato and mixed with a little oil and lemon juice to make a filling lunch, dinner, snack, or salad! Theres no Carbs, 1 tsp. of extra virgin oil. and just a little chili powder (don't worry though, the chili powder WILL NOT make it super spicy). Its super simple and you'll be kicking your self for not thinking of something so delicious first. The chickpeas can be substituted for white cannellini beans (really any other beans, but i like cannellini for this this recipe best). I'll...

Northern Italian Herb Anchovy Sauce
Heyy everyone, Hannukah has come and gone, Happy Hannukah to my fellow Jewish readers, and I am still trying to find that unique Latke recipe, if you have one, send it to me @ diverdan417@comcast.net with the subject:buon cibo recipe an your latke recipe attached. Today is something very simple, and very savory. It goes great as a party food or small dinner side. It is, Herb Anchovy Sauce courtesy of the Il Viagio de Vetri Cookbook. This cookbook has some of the most amazing northern Italian flair with Philly's restauranteur. Most people see anchovy and freak out, but tell that to the 8, two 12, 14, and 16 year olds who all went nutty for it. The anchovy taste is very slight and not overpowering at all. I advise this recipe to go right on to some fresh baked rustic ciabatta or semolina bread, or even top some fish before heading into the oven. Whatever you do with, the oil, garlic and parsley can't steer you wrong.
Herb Anchovy Sauce 1 slice rustic bread
1/4 cup water
1 bunch flat-leaf parsley, most stems removed
1 clove garlic, coarsly chopped
2 tablespoon drained capers

Rosemary Potatoes
Sup Yall! I hope every Thanksgiving was awesome, but now its time for me to get back to the blogging so the good people could get on with cooking. I recently had a chance (before Thanksgiving) to have some family friends over and make a huge meal where I kinda out did myself; Sicilian Style Pasta with Sardines, Rosemary Potatoes, Eggplant Thai Salad, Roasted Chillies, and Herb-Anchovy Sauce served with fresh home-made bread courtesy of my dad. Everyone was not only pleased, they were blow away by the eclectic mix of taste of culinary ideas. I'll be honest, the Sicilian Style Pasta with Sardines sounded less than desirable and played the part, but did not disappoint. It was an old favorite from when my parents lived in manhattan and occasionally went to an expensive restaurant, this was their "thing". But tonight isn't about that. No, tonight is about a family tradition of Rosemary Potatoes. They are undoubtedly a family favorite. Good with almost any food, from fish to soup, or a breakfast frittata, these potatoes are sure to please. Basiclly, these potatoes are plethora of flovor combined with root vegetables. Potatoes, onion, garlic and mushroom, and rosemary are combined with a little...
